Order cancelled/changed

I placed an order for an Alienware 17 on the 29th of September and had an original delivery date of the 20th. My order was cancelled and reprocessed on the 9th as a new order with a later delivery date. I have sent two messages to customer service (one on the 9th and the other on the 6th) but nobody has attempted to contact me regarding either message.  I just want to know why my order was cancelled, re-ordered without authorization, and why no notification was provided even though I signed up for updates to my order. Additionally I want to know why I have not been contacted by customer service despite their claim to respond with 1 business day.

Im sorry to hear about the inconvenience. All orders and transactions are subject to acceptance or cancellation by Dell, in Dell’s sole discretion. Perhaps, there was a certain part in back order at the time and they had to re-issue the order with another part number. For more information, please contact our Sales Support department.
