RE: Upgrading My GFX Card And PSU Help

All of Dell products use a proprietary power supply especially desktops, meaning you will have not many options to upgrade your GPU, if you want to know whether a certain GPU is capable to be run with no problem per se in your desktop, you can try go here and check its psu requirement wattage :

RE: Upgrading My GFX Card And PSU Help

Hi TommyFamzy,

The GeForce GTX 770M is not a validated upgrade for the X51 R1. These are the Dell Certified upgrades for this model:

Part#

JCW0V

GeForce GTX 660Ti, 1.5GB (Windows 7)

 2CHCY

GeForce GTX 660Ti, 1.5GB (Windows 😎

 106DK

Radeon R9 270, 2GB

NOTE: These upgrades require the 330W PSU.
