Upgrading to 760 ti with R1 X51?
As the old thread about upgrading this machine seems to have stopped progressing, wondering whether this is possible?
I have the X51 with GTX-660 and (I think) 330W PSU.
If the upgrade is possible, any modification necessary? Which specific 760 should I go for?

Hello Stazi!
The video cards that we validated to the X51R1 are the followings
GT545
GT555
GT640
GTX 645
GT660
Any other video card we cannot assure you that will work properly.

Thanks so much. Has anyone tested the 760 though? Given it's in the R2 X51s, and the PSU is the same for the R2, shouldn't it work?

gotta remember tho the OEM 760 TI isn't the same as retail... so power consumption you must watch ..

The OEM 760 TI lists the system power requirement as 500W, even though the Alienware I bought still only shipped with a 330W PSU.
