Very low sound on my new just set up computer (alienware x51 r2)

I just set up my new computer yesterday and I cant get the sound up at all, ive raised all the bars, updated everything I know how to, I need some help to fix this P.S. im not the greatest with computers so take it somewhat slow

IDK... try this??? Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound > Manage Audio Devices There will be 5 or 6 Audio Outputs available - Active one's will have a volume level meter on the right. Select your audio output (left click) > it will highlight > Set Default > Apply

thanks man, but it didnt work i can get to the 5 audio outputs but if i click the right one i cannot set it to default because apparently it is, doesnt work though

Dude your screwed....if its not the cables like the other guy said return it for a refund before Dell's 30 day return policy kicks in or your never gonna get your money or another computer or any type of help....I am going through the samething with Dell with my X51R2 and I am
