Which pin connector to use?
Hey guys.
I'm ordering a new GTX 1070 card for my alienware X51 R2 and I'm stumped on the connector I need to order for my machine. I know that the 1070 uses a single 8 pin cable and that my previous card (GTX 760 Ti) used a dual 6 pin cable connector. Do I need to buy a 6 to 8 connector, a dual 6 to 8 connector, or something else for the new card?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Yes, all you need is a 6 to 8 pin adapter.
Let me know if you need something else!

I see. Am I risking any harm to my machine if I use a dual 6 pin connector and only plug in one of the cables to my computer while leaving the other dangling in the machine?

No, doesn't matter. It won't cause any harm.
