Why can't I get an answer to this question?

I have tried asking the same question three different times to no avail, what gives??

I'll try one more time...

I would like to upgrade the 256 GB SSD in my alienware 17 to at least a 512 GB SSD, possibly more.  I currently have a 1 TB drive in the primary HDD slot, another 1 TB drive in the secondary HDD slot, and in the third slot is the DVD/Blue drive.

There are no other HDD slots available.  I have also checked the Owner's Manual numerous times.

I cannot seem to get anyone to tell me where the SSD is installed in my system.  This seems to me to be a fairly straight forward question.

Can someone from please respond to this post???

Sincerely,

Mark

Actually, after looking thru some other posts, I think the SSD is an mSATA drive.  So I need to know where the mSATA port is located.  I assume this is different than a SATA port.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark!

Yes you can replace the optical drive for a third HDD and as well you can change your Msata for a 512 GB one but you have to be careful because they are located under the keyboard.
