[X51] New BIOS A12 released

In case anyone hasn't noticed, Dell have released BIOS A12 for our X51s, the release notes show:

1. Update VBIOS in Sandy Bridge (2.0.1024 ) and Ivy Bridge(3.0.1023)

2. Update ME 8.1.20.1336

3. Add PCIE GEN3 setup item

4. Fix 5 beeps for Windows 8

Applied it to mine and no adverse effects so far, except losing just one setting as always - Dell, please stop resetting my default video back to "Discrete"! Nothing else is reset and this is just annoying.

Has anybody with an X51 that had problems sleeping or shutting down with BIOS versions > A06 tried this new BIOS and had any success with it? I still have two of those systems stuck at A06 and would really like to upgrade if its safe...

Thanks for the update, Eddie. That sounds very promising! Makes me consider taking the plunge.

As the original poster mentions. Your primary display probably got switched. Are you plugged into the motherboard hdmi or the video card? Try swapping it
