(redirected) Alienware X51 won't wake up from hibernation.
Hi I have a fairly new Alienware X51 Desktop and it is having intermittent probems waking up. I think that when it goes into sleep mode for the monitor it wakes up fine, but I think I am having the trouble when it is waking up from hibernation. I can't seem to find any settings for hibernation. If I power it off and then on again it seems to be waking up from a hibernation mode. Running windows 8.1 x64 I have it set on the Higher performance power plan with the setting set to "never" for "put the computer to Sleep I have a AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Video card. Any ideas would be appreciated. Bill

Hi cooks4fun,
Make sure you have the latest BIOS A14 for the X51 R1 and do a clean installation of the video driver as explained in this article. If the issue persists, run an ePSA diagnostic to check for hardware errors.
