sm bus controller help please

I have a alienware x51 and I've got the yellow exclamation point next to "SM Bus Controller" in my device manager.  I downloaded the chipset driver and installed it but the exclamation is still there.  Do I need a different driver?  ANY help would be much appreciated!

Win7 or Win8 ?
Yes, SM-Bus is sometimes chipset related.
Drivers should be installed in this order:

For sharing...

I had the same problem with JAMESBAILEY and managed to resolve using steps below:

1) In Win 8.1 Device Manager - Remove SM Bus Controller

2) Goto Intel® Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility) - Install the SetupChipSet...

Step (2), give it sometime to work on it,..

When done, you will see a new SM Bus Controller under Device Manager - System devices

Intel(R) 8 Series/C220 Series SMBus Controller - 8C22
