System doesnt give me an option in bios to boot cdrom with bootable media in it but if i attach a bootable usb it shows as an option.
OK it can see the win7 media that came with machine - but if i put another bootable dvd in - like acronis resue disk or another win7 dvd (from my m15) which i know work it doesnt recognize. Am I missing something here. Just checking things - because some day i may need a restore.
Re: x-51 dont see dvdrom as boot option after hitting f12
Is this something to do with UEFI? Duh! Never mind answred my own question the media such as my acronis rescue disks need to be set up this machine or the right format thus allowing it to boot - thats why my usb stick worked. Need to get used to this.
