x51 NVIDIA 660 black screen

While reinstalling my drivers win7 boots to a black screen after NVIDIA driver install.  Uninstalling in safe mode restores.  I've tried uninstalling the intel HD graphics drivers, but it'll only boot to a black screen with NVIDA drivers installed.

I've tried old and new drivers.  I've also tried drivers from NVIDIA.com and the dell site.  If I try to download the geforce experience it says my system does not meet the reqirements (when it obviously does).  I've also reseated the 660 card but nothing.

thoughts?

Which hdmi port are you connected to?  Motherboard or video card?  Try the other one

I've tried both. It's under warranty so they r sending a tech with a new card today or tomorrow. Why they didn't just ship me the part I don't know, probably cause it's still under warranty. Anyway hopefully it is just a hardware failure.

New card came today.  Installed the drivers and windows still boots to a black screen. I imagine if I don't get anymore ideas I'll be shipping the system back for repairs.
