{MOVED}Alienware M14x r1 Screen Upgrade
Hi all, I was wondering if it is possible to replace the LCD panel on an M14x r1 with one of a higher resolution. I currently have the base 1366x768 screen resolution, and I would like to upgrade it to the 1600x900 screen. If this is possible, are there any recommended places to buy the screen?
There is a similar thread for an r2, but I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be wasting money buying a new screen if it won't work on my r1.

As long as you get a screen known to be compatible with the system (you cannot buy LCDs by spec - systems work properly ONLY with the models shipped with the system model from the factory) AND you replace the data cable as well, you should be able to upgrade the screen.
