15 R?, making weird loud humming sound

ok so i have a Alienware 15 bought like 4 years ago ish and i noticed the past month my computer is blue screening and crashing a few times a week on avg. now its making a weird  and slightly loud humming sound and i wasn't sure if its one of my hard drives or if any one had any advice. i ran scans and a dxdiag and couldn't find out the problem

Probably best to check the condition of the fans inside the system - if they're dusty, clean them.  While you're in there, disconnect the hard drive(s) and power up the system. If there's no further noise, it's the drive.  If there is, particularly after a few minutes of operation, it's the fan.

While inside, keep the AC adapter disconnected AND disconnect the battery from the system board.
