17 R?, can I upgrade?
Dear All,
couple months ago I got use Alienware laptop, Alienware 17(14 April 2014)/i7-4700MQ/GTX860M/Micron 8KTF51264HZ-1G6E1 4x4GB/Liteonit DMT-80M6M-11 mSATA 80GB
Now i have issue for upgrading my laptop ! need to upgrade the GPU for example GTX 970m?, is that possible if yes please let me know what model is the last and best i can use for this laptop, and does this laptop support Nvme M2? Thank you very much.

Most laptops cannot be upgraded since all parts are soldered to the motherboard. See the service manual for all parts that can be replaced-- https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/alienware-17-laptop_service-manual_en-us.pdf

No, you cannot upgrade the GPU. Some models (newer) have the Graphics AMP slot for external gpu but that's about it. CPU and GPU are soldered to the mainboard.
