17 R1, Windows 10, GPU fan not working
17 R1 GPU fan not working on Windows 10, yes on bios.
Hello people, sorry for my bad English I'm not native. Since 12 weeks more or less laptop start getting hotter and hotter and I notice the GPU fan is always turned off.
I got a problem with GPU fan when I do the test on Alienware FN+ turn on gpu fan move, so slow but move.
I have try HWinfo, fantest and another 4 programs I got always the same problem, the no detect the fans. OR they detect both fans together and when I try to make them move only the CPU fan move.
I have upgrade BIOS alienware control panel center and everythings but still not working. I try a new game and it is impossible to play that hot. I'm gonna broken the computer.
Any solution for this?

Try this guys thing on eBay and try saying you only want the RAM,Motherboard,case,cpu,but no gpu or storage.

What would I do with it? I'd probably sell it. If the guy can't fix my sata connector then I can either continue to just use the mSata slot or I will sell all the parts individually.

Aww man. How about you invest in a new-ish Alienware 18 from 2014? Put your 1070 in there and it’s new!

I've owned an 18 before, just earlier this year. It was nice but I prefer the M18x, mainly for the looks. The 3rd gen processors overclock really well and are on par with the 4th gen.

That guys price is crazy! The 18 I bought cost me $550AUD which is about $350USD. It had one faulty M290X but the primary card was working fine.

Make sure your using the nvflash program made for nividia cards and not the amd flash program designed for amd cards.

Are you trying the driver I modded for you or direct from Nvidia?

Ok I got a upgrade Bios now.
Im going try The Nvidia drivers.... hope my computer dont die.
I remenber i no have problem wit performance, only with the GPU fan that are alwais OFF
Gona check 2 stuff before it. but i hope it work on nvidia web page i got this

I re-modded the driver for someone else so that link will be dead. Try this link and use the same instructions as before
