Why doesn't Dell have these on their web site? And how do you know whether, for the 17 R4, to get the 180, 240 or 300? And how can you be sure an adaptor is actually from Dell?

Call and ask for Dell spare parts.
Or, alternative source of genuine OEM Dell parts.
