17 R4, ram upgrade, #7
- Im trying to Upgrade my laptop ram. I have a Alienware 17 R4 service tag #
- I currently have 16gb ram.
- I tried upgrading using this model of Curical memory but it’s not working.

just for our proper understanding. What do you mean exactly, when you say that it is not working? Is it not being recognized in the BIOS?

What if you try each of the new RAM sticks individually?

What happens if you restore back to your original RAM? Does the computer stay on for longer?

If I restore the original 2 sticks of 8gb ram. Then the laptop works normally.

When I turn the computer on. I’m getting a red light at the power button. Laptop stays on for about 15 seconds then turns off.

Ok I tried to add only 1 stick of the new16gb ram. I’m getting the same thing, red light.

Did you ever resolve this issue? Look to upgrade my 17 r4 to 32 also,
