17 R5, Touchpad scroll all over the place

All of a sudden, and only a few weeks in to ownership (Alienware R5), my touchpad now refuses to scroll properly. I have tried all combinations of inertia on and off, sensitivity, but in all instances, to a greater or lesser degree, be it inside windows, chrome, other apps, the thing wont scroll correctly, its like its jumping upward random amounts when you are trying to scroll down, be it fast or slow, and the same effect when trying to scroll upwards. Please help its RUINING my enjoyment of the new laptop,and essentially rendering the touch pad ineffective since i use scroll A LOT as well as the other functions.
