AW15 R4 OCcontrols causing Cpu temp spike

There has been huge Cpu temp spike of about 20c on alienware 15 R4.

Both Command center and OC control are installed with the latest updates.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no use. Even factory reset didnt help.

Hey, how are you certain it's because of OCcontrols? I just got mine a week back and updated to the latest available updates straight off the bat and am extremely disappointed with the thermal performance. Runs worse than I'd expect an XPS to. Had to undervolt and underclock both cpu and gpu to get temps down to high 80s during gameplay. Otherwise, 100°c was very common and it throttled like mad.

Out of the box my temp were really bad while gaming it constantly hit 100 and keeps throttling.

I saw in the task manager that oc control in command center was keeping my CPU in overclocked mode even when not gaming which was causing my temp in 80 without any load.

I tried installing different versions of Command center and OC controls to no use since then I have found a workaround to keep my cpu from overclocking through advance power management in battery setting, by keeping processor power just at 99 % which would stop OC control from maxing out my CPU when m not gaming.

But during gaming the temp still go high 80s and 90s and keeps throttling with CPU turbo boosting via OCcontrols.

Very disappointed with the thermals in such expensive piece of equipment.
