(Alienware 15 r3) Issues with evga geforce 2070 xc ultra in graphics amplifier

I am trying to use a geforce 2070 xc ultra in my amplifier for my alienware laptop. I am recommended to download the drivers for the 2070, but they are for desktop computers, not notebooks. The drivers override the ones for my builtin 1070 and my computer freezes at sign in. I can use DDU to remove those drivers and get the ones that came with my computer but then the amplifier does nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Lee
