Alienware 17 R5, Alienrespawn doesn't work

I just received my Alienware 17 R5 and as with any new laptop, I want to create factory recovery media.  According to the Dell website, all Alienware laptops come with Alienrespawn installed, however, mine did not.  I downloaded the software from Dell and updated it but when I get to the option of what media I would like to use to store the recovery file, I cannot proceed any further.  I have a thumb drive and a WD Passport drive that I have tried this with.  I select the option for the drive I have, I have plenty of space on the drive but I am unable to click continue, it is greyed out.  What is going on here?  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Alienware 17 R5, Alienrespawn doesn't work

Hi @Vindigo12,

The new systems will no longer come with AlienRespawn. If you want to create a factory image, you can do it with Windows as explained here (this will not save the custom Alienware configuration, just a regular Windows image), or you can use third-party software if you want to make it more specific.
