Hello everyone! I am just checking something with you all. Is it normal for a laptop to restart after something has been dropped on it (In my case it was my phone being dropped on the keyboard quite hard). Everything seems fine after the restart but I just want to check to see if it is fine.
If the impact was significant enough, something may have flexed enough to trigger an electrical short internally, which could cause your system to power cycle itself. But I doubt that there's a "phone drop" test to establish what behavior is normal in that scenario -- and even if there were, variables like where and how hard the phone hit the laptop would come into play. If everything works fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
