NO POWER after static noise and smoke from the power jack-Alienware 17r3

Hi, I need a desperate help here.

Purchased Alienware 17 R3 1/2016 and warranty ended 1/2017.

I was working last night and there were some short static noises and white smoke came out from the power jack connector. and my entire system shut off!!

I tried disconnected and left all power cable for 30min and tried to reconnect the cable to the laptop and I heard same static noise and smoke came out. No power .. Now What do I do??

Do you think I lost my data on HD??? Do I need to send my laptop to repair this and anyone knows the contact number? and What would be the fee if I have to pay??

Hey, sorry to hear about the issue.
Smoke from system is not a good sign and can be hazardous.
Call up Dell Tech Support and tell them your issue, if your system is under warranty, they will help you free of cost.(depends on the type of warranty)
Also refrain from using the system, till the time issue is not resolved.

What's on it and are you sure you need really it?

That machine sounds like it fried. Sometimes, you can:

- Carefully remove the drive
- Install on USB Interface (or install in another computer)
- Retrieve the data files with Windows Explorer (somtimes you have to use "Take Ownership" script (Google it).
