m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

I got my m15 r3 couple weeks ago and I noticed today that everytime I pause a video/music, even after a notification sound, my alienware makes this buzz noise for about a second, coming from bottom left (where headphone goes in). Is this normal? It does not happen when my headphone is plugged in.

Re: M15 r3 buzz noise everytime after making a sound

Try reinstalling the sound driver and see if that works.

If that doesn’t work then it’s a speaker issue.

I have the same issue but mine comes from the right speaker. Its not everytime, but very frequent. Did you resolve your issue?

It has to be a speaker issue.

@daydreamhb @Bunny8 @Calipali,

Its a Speaker issue would if you’re laptop still has the warranty on it, you can call dell and they can replace your speaker assembly.

Re: m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

same here.

you can remove it by installing an old driver. but this will cut the woofer out of the circuit.

also if you change the sound quality to 192000bit and 24 bit it will reduce the noise.

Re: m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

You know, with the Microsoft default sound driver I could get 32bit 192000Hz and the sound is very crisp.

Re: m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

My laptop is not even a month old. It just sounds after pausing anything. Not during the video. Its annoying

Re: m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

It’s a driver issue or the Alienware audio has the bass or treble too high.

Either that or a bad speaker.
