m15 R3, keyboard backlight, #2
Hi,
Just got an Alienware m15 R3, everything worked fine...I've installed an additional SSD on the SSD2 slot, and since then no more keyboard/touchpad backlight. The alienhead light, and the chassis lights work well.
Any ideas?

Hi @Yossi_Ronnen,
Have you tried turning on the lights from the command center?
You should re-connect the KB-Backlight Membrane back to the computer and check if that fixes the issue.
Disassembling your laptop requires you to screw out all the screws from the backplate and finding the Membrane cable that says KB-Backlight-MB.

Thanks for the answer, I was trying the command center, and it didn't work ( the other lights are controlled well from the command center).
Is there any pic that can point me to that cable? I have no issues removing the backplate (I did it to install the extra SSD).

I've found this in the m15 R3 manual, since I want to reduce the number of unnecessary disconnections...is the cable marked in yellow is the right one? thx:
