About user area in the single node config.
Can all of 1TB be used in the user area in the single node configuration of 1TB(raid-5) ?
Is part of 1TB used as a utility node function ? How much does the user area become in that case?

Just as on a multi-node system a single node system will dedicate the full amount of space available in its /data* partitions to storage of deduplicated data.
A single node will not store parity information so will make more efficient use of the storage space in the /data* partitions than a multi-node RAIN system.

Hello Nicholas-san,
Thank you for your inform. I have one point to be confirmed.
There is a description found 'single node server combine all the features and functions of Utility and Storage node on a single node' in the guide.
Isn't there area used as a utility node of 1TB capacity ?

Hi,
'the features and functions of Utility node' would not use the single node's /data* partitions, so that would not affect the capacity for backups.
