Avamar Automatic Rerun of Failed backups

Has anyone attempted to automatically re-run failed backups in Avamar?  There is a push in my company to utilize automation as much as possible.  With backups growing and growing, it would be nice to not have to manually select each backup to rerun it.  I understand the re-runs will depend on the error received, but for general time outs, or network issues it would be nice to just have these auto restart.  Ideas?
