Avamar+DD to Avamar+DD replication ports?

We have two separate company backup locations and would like to replicate using Public IP.

Site A - Larger Site:  Avamar Grid with 3 nodes ( 4 Public IPs) + DataDomain

Site B- Smaller Site: Avamar Grid Single Node  (1 Public IP)   + DataDomain

Can you please advise what ports need to be opened on both sides, for selective replication purposes only.

thanks-K

Re: Avamar+DD to Avamar+DD replication ports?

Hello Karmak,

For pure Avamar replication, only port 27000 (or 29000 for SSL encrypted replication) is required for the replication process itself. The source utility node must be able to reach the target's utility and storage nodes. And port 2052 and 3009 between the source & target DD are being used for replication.

Re: Avamar+DD to Avamar+DD replication ports?

Thanks Leo. That helps.

So our is a combination of Avamar + DD ..and Avamar utility node is the one that I believe controls all the replication tasks.

So would it be correct to open 27000/TCP + 2052/TCP + 3009/TCP  on both sides, for our environment?

thanks - K
