Avamar and Backup & Recovery Manager

Hi,

Question has anyone seen Backup & Recovery Manager show their Avamar Systems as Offline when all before they were communicating correctly with Backup & Recovery Manager. I do not if I need to remove the systems in question and then reinstall if possible the Avamar Adaptors on each system?

Everyone help is always much appreciated.

Thanks,

Log into the Avamar Utility Node as admin

adaptorctl.pl --stop

adaptorctl.pl -–setup -–jmsaddr=

adaptorctl.pl --start

I had this happen. I stopped the avamar adapter and restarted it and it seemed to help.

I'd recommend opening a case for this so support can take a look at it.  We've had to restart MCS in the past to get BRM back in sync with Avamar but we've always worked with support to diagnose the issue first.

Since I'm new to Backup and Recovery Manager how do I go about restarting the adapter without rebooting the server.

For BRM hostname should I use the FQDN for the BRM server, shortname or IP Address and thanks.
