Avamar requirements when upgrading vCenter Server Appliance from 5.5 to 6.0?

Hi,

We are running vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA) version 5.5. We are about to upgrade to 6.0. Our Avamar environment including all proxies already run on 7.2.1 so should be compatible.

The upgrade procedure for VMWare states it will deploy a new appliance migrate all the settings and keep the same name,IP and VM UID's. Link: Product Walkthroughs

Has anyone gone through this procedure?

Are there any specific requirement from an Avamar side?

Are there parts that need to be reconfigured?

Cheers.

UPDATE 04/28/2016:

I performed the upgrade. The only issue I encountered was that the local vCenter account we use was no longer working without the domain suffix. Changing the account in Avamar to @vsphere.local resolved the issue.

I have, nothing special really. The only issue that i experienced and maybe that's specific to my environment, was that after i upgraded from vCSA 5.5 to 6.0, it seemed as if Avamar was no longer communicating with vCenter.  So in Avamar i went into Administration > vCenter Name, right click on the vCSA name and selected "Edit Client".  Without changing anything i simply clicked OK and after that i was able to run backups.
