Exchange 2010 GLR restore fail

Is the avamar client version 6.0.101.66 from toolbar icon on exchange server ?

Its 6.0.100-580

How can I download latest client ?

After client upgrade I have to upgrade avamar grid?

There is no need to upgrade GRID although you may do it if you wish to. You can simply upgrade client plugins on the GRID to make new clients available on download page. You can then install those new client/plugins on Exchange Server which will work with old GRID version just fine.

Here are the steps for the same if you wish to do it yourself for RHEL GRID. Please note the procedure is different for SUSE GRID

Step1: Login to the Utility node with root

Step2: cd /usr/local/avamar/src/ on the utility node.

Step3: wget ftp://avamar_ftp:anonymous@ftp.avamar.com/software/av1037541600/v6.0.101.66-client.tar.gz

Step 4. Once the above download is finished,go to the directory RHEL_64 under the directory /usr/local/avamar/src/.

Step5:Refer below to see step by step installation.

root@avamar-server:/usr/local/avamar/src/RHEL4_64/#: ./axion_install --client_only

Step 6. Restart MCS (which will kill running backups if any) to make sure the changes are reflected. See below.

Step 7. Login to the Avamar Administrator, go to Tools > Manage Agents & Plug-ins to confirm the client version.

Please upgrade the client plugins to the latest version 6.0.101.66. You may like to open an SR to do the same.

Just installing new clients will not work as the plugin catalog xml file on the GRID needs to be upgraded as well. Are you using SUSE GRID? If you are using SUSE GRID steps are as below

Download below files on the utility node under /data01/avamar/repo/packages

Go to Enterprise Manager web interface and click on system maintenance tab from where you can view this package and start the install.
