How do you update the Avamar LDAP?

How do you update the Avamar LDAP to point to the new IP address of the domain Controller?

All I see are examples in LDAPA and KRB5 files.  No meaningful information/no current IP addresses.

It sounds like you're probably using LDAP Maps, in which case LDAP is managed through the GUI as dynamox alluded to above. The text-based config files are only used for legacy LDAP.

I am not seeing any useful information using the Admin GUI.  What is the Linux file name that can be edited?  EMC support edited that file before I started supporting Avamar.

Ldap.conf

I had to do this when doing DR.

That worked.  Thanks!

That is in the main or utility node.

I had to also change DNS which is resolv.conf on all nodes.

If you change DNS servers such as in isolation for a DR test , you must change in all nodes for resolution during restores or you will only get 1 node and slow restores.

I found resolve.conf on the Avamar server but it didn't have the IP address for the domain controller.

resolv.conf is for adding or updating

the domain

the search domain

the nameserver (DNS) IP
