How to restore a imaged VMware VMs to thin provision mode through Avamar AVE？

A thin provisioning VM has been backuped to AVE through Avamar Proxy, and turned to thick provisioning mode when restore to normal or new vitrual machine.

but it can be restored to thin provisioning mode by vDP intergrated by VMware.

Why AVE can not do it？or i have a wrong way to restore the VMs?

I am not well versed with vm's but in my notes - when you make the disk drives of the new vm for the restore - disk provisioing has an option to pick Thick or Thin - does this not work for what you are doing?

If I restore a VM to a new virtrual machine，avamar make the new vm by itself through the vCenter。
