Image level backup on ESX 3.5 ?
We are migrating from esx3.5 to vSphere 4 and also got a new avamar (v5SP1).
Was testing the Proxy backup which works fantastic with the vSphere 4.
I am wondering how can i backup the vmdk's from ESX3.5 and restore on vSphere 4.
Ideas please.

I found the answer by installing Linux client on ESX and backup the vmdk files directly or by using vcbMounter for running VMs.
For restore, i followed the same method, by installing linux client on esx4 and successfully restored the vmdk and added to the inventory.
