NDMP Backups - Unity NAS - Exclusions

Can you configure NDMP jobs to exclude certain directories under a main NAS in order to slice up the backup jobs?  Also would this enable you do run multiple jobs at once?      The NAS is a Unity 450H.

In looking at the document(Avamar 7.5.1 NDMP Accellerator for Dell EMC NAS systems User Guide), top of page 42, step 7 the process to become granular is through exclusion.   I believe you will need to configure the job to exclude the directories we don’t want to back up in the tree for the job. 

“ (Optional) Specify directories, folders, or files you want to exclude in the Exclusions tab.

Looking for confirmation i am on the right track.
