did u try installing the linux client and agent, i dont know whats the difference between the red hat and the oracle linux, at the end it is a red hat isnt it??

in avmar v6.0 it is supported, you can see it in the compatibility matriz...
what version of avamar do you have??

I'm reading "Avamar 6.0 for Oracle Guide", it is on page 19.

yes it is, you can see it in the avamar oracle documentation to see how to configure it...
basically you install the avamar client and the rman agent, and then configure the avamar oracle rac....

But in the guide, it says

Avamar for Oracle Client supports backups andrestores of an active/active Real Application Clusters (RAC) configuration forOracle versions 10gR2 and 11g R2 on the following platforms:

•Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 64-bit
