Regarding Avamar SQL Client Backups

Is anyone familiar with the inter-workings of the SQL client.  One of DBAs has a few specific questions:

1.   1.) Does the Avamar SQL Backup Client use a stored procedure to do the backups?

2.   2.) Does the Avamar SQL Backup Client do a full recovery backup, security and all?

3.   3.) Does the Avamar SQL Backup Client write to one of the system db’s on the DB results?
