Upgrade avamar clients
Hello
I did root-to-root migration from avamar 6.x version to the latest avamar 7.1.1.145. Now i would like to upgrade clients. UpgradeClientDownloads package doesnt appears in the Package List on the SW Updates tab of the EMC Avamar Enterprise Manager dashboard page.
Can i download this avp file mannualy ?

It should be available on support.emc.com. Copy file to /avamar/repo/packages folder…

thank you jeff, i have downloaded Avamar_Client_Installers 7.1.1.145 also, but is possible to upgrade client from 6.0.0.192 directly or there is any "subupgrade" needed ?

hi, you can help me?
after download file UpgradeClientDownloads-7.3.0-233.avp to /data01/avamar/repo/packages i get message from EMC AVI - Status - Rejected, Note - Package Is Already Installed (Server Only). I don't install package to Avamar.

Note: it is better to download the packages and md5sum to /usr/local/avamar/src once verified, then use mv command to move to /data01/avamar/repo/packages. Now on to your problem.

i use mv command by root, but it not help,
1. Now version Avamar -7.3.0.233, Earler - 7.1.1-145
2. Clients version 7.1.1-145
3. ~/#: avinstaller.pl --version
version: 7.3.0.233

Please have the customer put this file in the following directory: /data01/avamar/repo/packages
After putting the package in that directory, the customer can wait about 10-15minutes and the package should be available in client manager.
