Vmware backup and VMevents.

I know that mostly this is a VMware question, but I have been asked if there is any way we can reduce the number of events that are created during the backups (the events table is getting large).  I was just wondering if there is anything anyone knows of that can help this.

Every time a VM backup is created, there is at least 4 events created.

1. VM snapshot taken

2. Proxy Re-configured (to add the disk)

....backup....

2. Proxy Re-Configured (to remove the disk)

3 VM Snapshot removed.
