Hi all,
First, I apologize for my bad english. In fact I'm French...
We recently bought a M1000e enclosure with 3 blades and a MD3200i iSCSI SAN Storage Array.
2 Power Connect M6220 switches are embeded in the M1000e enclosure.
My question is how connect all this equipment ? I read lots of posts but none really helped me.
Do I need another external switch ?
It is very urgent (yes I know it is very urgent for everybody) but I have very little time to implement this.

Best practice would be to use an external switch, which would allow you to connect multiple servers to your iSCSI SAN. Configure your M6220 switches. Connect the M6220s and the MD3200i to a top of rack switch all in the same subnet.

We bought 2 additional M6220 switches and 1 additional network card in each Blade.
We would like to do the following :
Use 2 M6220 and one port of each network card for iSCSI traffic and
Use 2 M6220 and the other network port for Lan/Internet traffic
Here is a diagram of what we would like to do :

Technically, it should work if you're MD3200i and M6220s are configured on the same subnet. The cons are that only that blade chassis & its server can use that particular MD3220i unless you stack or uplink your M6220s.

A last question :
The MD3200i is embedded with 2 controller 4 port each.
These ports have the following IP configuration :
Controller 0 / Port 0 : 192.168.130.101
Controller 0 / Port 1 : 192.168.131.101
Controller 0 / Port 2 : 192.168.132.101
Controller 0 / Port 3 : 192.168.133.101
Controller 1 / Port 0 : 192.168.130.102
Controller 1 / Port 1 : 192.168.131.102
Controller 1 / Port 2 : 192.168.132.102
Controller 1 / Port 3 : 192.168.133.102
All these ports are directly connected to the M6220 switches (in Fabric A)
My question is can I do the following :
On the additional network card of the first Blade :
Port 1 => 192.168.130.1
Gateway : 192.168.130.101
Port 2 => 192.168.130.2
Gateway : 192.168.130.102
On the second Blade :
Port 1 => 192.168.131.1
Gateway : 192.168.131.101
Port 2 => 192.168.131.2
Gateway : 192.168.131.102
On the third Blade :
Port 1 => 192.168.132.1
Gateway : 192.168.132.101
Port 2 => 192.168.132.2
Gateway : 192.168.132.102
On the fourth Blade :
Port 1 => 192.168.133.1
Gateway : 192.168.133.101
Port 2 => 192.168.133.2
Gateway : 192.168.133.102

I've been told and I'd like to reiterate that this direct connect config should work but is not recommended and might not be supported.
With respect to your question, you don't need the gateway since your on the same subnet & your directly connecting to the MD controller ports. The Blade IP addresses are fine.
