AX150 upgrade drives

I have question about the capacity of the vault drives when they are replaced with new 750 drives. We are looking to upgrade the drives in a AX150. We are planning on doing this on an array that does not contain data, so we are not concerned with any information on the array. We have read that it is best to replace the vault drives one at a time allowing for the rebuild of the new one before moving on to the next one.

My question is that once all 4 of the drives have been replaced will i be able to use the greater capacity on the new vault drives or are they "partitioned" at the lower 250GB size because that is what they replaced.

You will be able to use greater capacity , on the 750 GB you will loose the same amount of private space as today on the disk you have right now in the vault .

The usable capacity for 750 GB disk drive in the vault of AX150 is 675.1 GB

If you put the 750GB not in the vault the usable capacity is 687.75 GB .

When you will perform the replacement please follow very carefully primus
