CX300 System 2G-DAE

It seems SP Part Numbers are not compatibile. Moreover, when I checked the part number it shows:

005048349 as a Assembly; CX300 SP Board with1GB Memory where as 005348489 as Assembly Link Control Card.

I would request you to get the Hardware Configuration verified from the vendor you purchased the CX300.

After spending some time looking at how we configured it I see my error. We didn't have the second storage processor securely fastened. I am able to get to the unit now via putty. When  I connect to the unit and it populates its initial bootup I receive an error. Here is the error I receive.

After further review in the forums it looks as if I am going to have to get my first five drives reimaged on several of these machines. It looks to be that the FlareOS has become corrupt. I think I am on the right track here. Is their a guide I can follow to reimage these or someone I need to get in contact with? Thanks for the help Ankit.

Well unfortunately we just made an investment which now I feel like I'm going to regret. :( I would most definitely like to salvage the 8 of these that I purchased if at all possible. I read in another post that a member mailed his drives somewhere and they installed FlareOS on them. How can I get hooked up with such people? I'm quite comfortable with me supporting them if I can only get them working.  Please assist if you can. I went ahead and emailed sales and licenses emc email addresses for options. If someone can just help me get started I can take it from there. I'm not looking for gold support, just enough to get these working. Thanks for your time and insight Ankit.

From the above output apparently, yes it seems this might require SP Reimaging.

SP Reimage is EMC Certified Field Engineer's task, if required we (L2) from the Lab assists the Field Engineers.

I would suggest to contact your EMC Local Team and get a quote for renewal service or remote support.

Moreover, you may consider for entry level VNXe/VNX considering CXs are soon to be EOSL! If I were you I would get quote for the entry level new technology!

There are many things one needs to consider during SP reimage, when we talk about SP reimage its not just simple FLARE re-install. As you mentioned, this was acquired one needs to check if the Boot utility partition, if the Image is available or not, you can try booting it with single SP or min. config. etc.

If you wish to proceed with SP Reimage, renewal services should be able to provide you quote for the same.

Either there are no Boot Disks or there's no OS loaded on the storage system.
