FLARE AND DART
Hi Team,
i am gonna ask a basic questions which will help me
what is FLARE and DART. is that the only two OS comes in EMC.
Where FLARE and DART will recide on . that is on celerra or clarrion.

In a gist:
FLARE refers to Fibre Logic Array Runtime Environment an custom Windows Operating System which runs the EMC CLARiiON Storage System.
DART OS is a modified UNIX kernel with additional functionality added to operate as a file server.EMC Celerra runs on real-time operating system called as Data Access in Real Time (DART).

As I mentioned earlier FLARE Operating Environment is for EMC CLARiiON and DART is for EMC Celerra.
You can verify the same if you check the Storage System Properties for EMC CLARiiON in Navisphere or Unisphere Management software, you will find FLARE-OE Environment enabler enabled! For DART that makes it obvious which product it runs on now, right?

No, EMC has range of Storage Product. There are other Products where Operating System is different,
For Eg.:
EMC Celerra: DART
EMC CLARiiON: FLARE
EMC VNX: FLARE
EMC Symmetrix Enginuity Operating Environment etc.

I have already mentioned Operation System for most of the Storage Product. I am not sure how to make it more clear.
