Force Sancopy to stop so I can delete LUN

Hi All,

We are downing a secondary site where we were replicating using mirror view.  Also entities are migrating off the CX4-120 and migrating to VNX.  I'm deleting the LUNS they are leaving, but some of them have active sancopy sessions and I read that I cant delete the LUNS until the SAN Copy completes.  I want to delete them now.

Someone can help me out?

Thanks....

Hi,

you can stop the SANCOPY session from Unisphere or by Navisphere CLI

Below is the Navisphere CLI example..

For SP ss1_spa, this command stops the copy session with the copy descriptor name copy_lun_66.

naviseccli -h ss1_spa sancopy -stop -name copy_lun_66

For more information, you may refer EMC VNX Block Command Line Reference Guide from EMC Support Site.

Thanks

dont' think stopping is sufficient, you need to remove the session.

sancopy -remove -name

In Unisphere, go to Storage > SAN Copy. Select the Sessions tab. Right-click on the session and select Stop. Once the session is stopped highlight it again and select Delete.
