How to view system configuration in USM
Hi all!
What do I doing wrong with USM, when reseive

The file selected does not appears to be a valid storage system configuration XML or SPCollect ZIP file.
Select another file.
===========================
I capturing diagnostics data, getting files
"20110919_141851.cap_CKxxxxxxxxx_11-09-19_14-18-49.xml"
"20110919_141851.clariion_DiagnosticData_CKxxxxxxxx_09-19-2011_14-14-57.zip"
but, cannot view nothing.
I have CLARiiON CX3-10c version:3.26.010.5.32

Flare Version 26 does not produce the arrayconfig.xml file you need for USM to work. USM is for the CX and flare 28 and higher.

Once you log in to Powerlink, in the top left textbox that reads "Search the Knowledgebase", type emc257752 and hit enter; it will take you to the document that Glen Kelley mentioned above.

USM cannot be used to open the configuration XML generated by CAP. Instead, it can open a SPCollect zip file, or configuration XML file captured by CLI or USM itself.

Dont worked at all.
Error is the same.

What's the eror message you got? What's the USM revision and the array version?
You should be able to find most answers from http://www.emc.com/partners/capeolinfo

I captured configuration by USM itself just now. And tried open it to view configuration. But got this error.
And I cannot view configuration choosing options Generate too.
Tell me, how to view system configuration offline?

Hi,
I know this post is very old and i am not sure i will get a response but i wanted to give a try.
I have Flare 30 Clariion for a customer and i generated there configuration report several times earlier for two Clariion CX4 120, today i am getting the same error for one of the Clariion for both SP collects and one SP collect at the other storage not sure why.
Can you please suggest if you have any idea on this.....

It would be helpful if you described the error or posted the error message. Also, what version of USM are you using?

Thanks for your response. The error message is same.

I think the only thing change is i upgraded my USM version. Can that cause
any issue?
USM version is 1.3.3.1
