Move DAE from CX3 to NS20

Hello,

I'm decommissioning a CX-3 and would like to take a tray from that array and install it into a NS20. I was told this will work as long as I have a short style DAE in the CX-3 and as long as the drives are compatible. How do I determine what style DAE's I have in my CX-3?

Thanks.

actually if you look in Navisphere, under physical next to DAE ..it will tell you what you have and page 23 tells you what's supported (NS20 has  CX3-10 backend)

Thanks, my systems are only 1 or 2 trays so far.

i don't have the answer to your DAE question but one thing to note is that NS20 supports maximum of 90 drives.

what do you mean "short style DAE"? CX3 supports DAE2/3P,  which are 2Gb/4Gb speed. They may take a look at the DAE properties through Navisphere. Both DAEs can be put on the same bus, but only the lower speed will be applied.
