That is Flare 14

You will need to run the command with the Engineering password as it is very old flare code - please contact EMC Support for further assistance.

You may also need to load a newer CLI on your host, I suggest at least Flare 19. (available from powerlink)

naviseccli -h x.x.x.x spcollect

you are possibly getting command not supported due to the age of the CLI on your host.

I would also strongly recommend getting the array up to at least R19 (02.19) as R14 is out of support.

can you try from command line ?

Open a  command prompt on the management workstation.
Type cd  c:\program files\emc\navisphere cli

Type  navicli -h <SP_IP_address> spcollect -messner This  starts the SPcollect script.

Type  navicli -h <SP_IP_address> managefiles -list This  will list the files created by SPcollect.

Type  navicli -h <SP_IP_address> managefiles  -retrieve This will  display the files that can be moved
from the  SP to the management station.

Example:
Index Size  in KB Last Modified Filename
0 3  06/14/04 11:02:15 DeletedVolume.txt
1 515  05/26/04 10:44:16 ktdump-040526-144415.txt

Enter  files to be retrieved with index separated by comma (1,2,3,4,5) OR by a range  (1-3) OR enter 'all' to retrieve all file OR 'quit' to quit> 13.

This will  pull the index number 13 from the corresponding SP and copy it to  the c:\program files\emc\navisphere cli directory with a filename of  SPA__APM00023000437_9c773_05-27-2004_46_data.zip.

Try this: "C:\Program Files\EMC\Navisphere CLI>naviseccli -h 10.195.202.203 spcollect"

You need to give the IP address of the SP (assuming that it is 10.195.202.203) with the "-h" option.

What version of flare code are you running as SPCollect is a recent tool for customer use, in earlier flare codes it was for support staff only.

Take a look at EMC Primus emc60493 which has the full details on what commands are needed for the version of flare you are on.

SPCollect in the GUI will only work on flare codes higher than Flare 19.

Flare 13 - 19 required the engineering command run via CLI.

If you are getting agent not running messages, then I would imagine that you want to make sure CLI commands work by first running a "getagent" command, if this also fails then you have a management issue of the SP.

Make sure the CLI you are running also matches the Flare on your array, or is higher, if it is below then you may also get strange results.

I hope that helps.
