Sanitize old CX3 CX4 drives 4Gb FC
Hi all,
As a Blancco partners a customer requested us to sanitize some old storage systems (Clariion CX3 and CX4). Drives are 4Gb FC, we usually sanitize drives using 3,5" KTN-STL3 shelves connected to servers with Blancco software using SAS HBA cards but in this case drives are not being recognized. I don't know if I need an special shelve or HBA card in my server. Help would be appreciated.
Drives would be going to scrap so I don't care wiping out EMC firmware in any case I would be happy to know how to sanitize drives with Blancco or KillDisk without wiping out firmware.

Hello jtejada.ralco,
FC drives do require a different enclosure than sata & sas drives. If you happen to still have an FC enclosure from either a cx3 or cx4 you should be able to use that to read the drives and then wipe them. Also if you have the storage process enclosure you can use that as well to wipe the drives.
