Storage Pool LUN limitation on CX4 & VNX
Hi - We "hit" the 2048 Storage Pool LUN limitation on our CX4 last year. This limit is NOT limited to each pool - this is a global limitation for the CX4.
Does anyone know if this limitation still exists on the VNX?

The VNX 5700/7500 limit of 2048 Pool LUNs per Pool and 2048 Pool LUNs per array. VNX 5500 is 1024/1024. VNX 5100/5300 is 512/512.

I won't count on that thought! However, it is possible that EMC Eengineering might come up with some sort of Pool Expansion Enabler!

Thank you - It seems a bit counter intuative with the size of devices today and the amount of storage you can add to these arrays that this limitation exists. How much for the Pool Expanision Enabler?
