snapclone and CPL

Hi experts,

Per snapview guides:"Clone private LUNs record information that identifies data chunks on the source LUN and clone LUN that have been modified after you
fractured the clone."
Now we suffered this problem: After fractured the CLONE,we power off the CLARiiON,and then power on,as well as performed a synchronization, the symptom show that it's a FULL-initial-copy!!
Why it is not INCREMENTAL copy ? What is the exact procedure if we need to restart the CLARiiON ??
Thanks!!

All right then: This behavior will be fixed in an upcoming patch to Release 26, targeted for Q4 of 2007

What revision of Flare code is being used on the CLARiiON?

I'm not sure, but since Clones and Snaps are comparable (and I know a bit about snapview) there's something called "persistence". This means that a snapshot will survive an SP reboot, because the "pointers" aren't just in memory, but also on disk. I suspect in your case something similar is going on, but like I said, I'm not sure, since I haven't done much yet with Clones.
